This was the week of Halloween. To my surprise, my students were relatively behaved and calm throughout the entire week (up until fall festivities, of course). But, I was proud that my class didn't let the excitement of the upcoming days get in the way of their learning. I also experienced the difficulty of dealing with sickness while in the classroom. Unfortunately, I came down with flu-like symptoms Thursday night, and had to miss Friday and Monday. It is very frustrating because I had fun activities planned that I couldn't carry out because I wasn't there. My lesson plans were also put on hold as I was dealing with a fever. Now, I feel like I am rushing to get things together so that I can pick up where my teacher left off. I'm just thankful that my teacher is there for me, and was able to pick up my lessons and continue teaching while I recovered. She made it very easy when it didn't have to be. That is why it is very nice to have a collaborating teacher that understands you and your teaching. Thank goodness for those!
